Club info

Our club was formed by a group of off road enthusiasts wanting to spend more time wheeling than talking.  Our primary goal is to cut through the political BS as fast as possible and GO WHEELING!  Our yearly dues are $25 the first year and $15 per year after that.  The dues include membership into The Iowa Associatino of 4 Wheel Drive Clubs, The Midwest Associatino of 4 Wheel Drive Clubs, and the United 4 Wheel Drive Association.

At this time there are no public places to wheel in the state of Iowa that are worth driving to.  We are a positive supporter the Iowa Association's land acusition project and hope that something will be available soon, and we are hoping one of us wins the lottery.  With that said we have no place to wheel in the state of Iowa so prospective members need to be willing to travel to far off lands and wreck their junk.  Plus it's more fun to explore new and exciting places any way.

Our club does have a few prerequsites we ask that all members have :

33" tires, minimum.  NO exceptions.
Front or rear locker.  Limited slip devices do not count.
Mud Terrain tires or equivilant.  Sorry, All Terrain's aren't going to cut it.
1st aid kit
Front and rear tow points
Beer money
No fear of body damage or broken parts
The ability to fix your own junk, with Nate's tools of course.
You must attend one meeting before being voted in to make sure you are not going to be offended by Richard
No CNC D35 crush sleeve eliminators (Christina)  :)

The reason we have these requirements is because some of the trails we run have locker and tire minimums and we want everyone to have fun.

Meetings, there is an interesting subject.  We do have meetings the first Saturday of the month and we alternate locations.  Even months we have it in Des Moines and odd months we have them in Indianola due to a few members living there.  Our meetings take place in a bar type setting so you wouldn't want to bring your kids.  Our meetings are short and to the point, we discuss our wheeling trips, Association news, then we adjourn.

I can't sit here and type all night.  If you are interested email me at 4x4syndicate@mchsi.com
